Hey there, Julia! Great question. The Yepp mini is a great fit for the front of the Swoop. We also believe the iBert might fit but we haven’t tested that one out yet. Best of luck and let us know if we can help with anything else!

      Ashley

Hey there, Markus! Because of Surly’s metal deck, I do not think this seat will fit. I would recommend reaching out to Surly so they can let you know the safest seat for their rear deck. Here is their contact info. Phone: 877-743-3191. E-mail: derby@surlybikes.com

  4. Question

    Monique

    I have 2 questions.

1- From and until what age (or weight or size) can a child be sitted in this seat?

2- if my child fall asleep, is there anything to hold his/her head? Maybe the seat lean back?

Hi, I’m wondering about height. Our son is not at all 48.5 pounds, but it seems like his legs are at the maximum length. He is only 4 years old and 45 percentile.

Hey there, Claire! I think weight is the most important factor. The foot holds are adjustable so you can lower them down all the way. You can see a rather tall child in a Yepp in this Rascal Rides review: https://rascalrides.com/thule-yepp-maxi-bike-seat-review/

What some parents do is actually cut the leg holds completely off. We only recommend this is you have something like WheelSkirts protecting your kiddo’s legs from the rear wheel.

I hope this helps, Claire! Please don’t hesitate to email us at support@xtracycle.com if we can help you further.

      Ashley

Hey there, Monique! The seat can hold a child up to age six or 48.5 lbs. If your child falls asleep while riding, there is nothing included to hold their head up. Most riders will DIY a solution to help them keep their heads from wobbling when napping.
