Michael Franti rides an Xtracycle
Michael Franti fronts the band Spearhead. The band calls its music "conscious funk and hip-hop," and rarely a day goes by in the Xtracycle HQ without the team pumping some of their super soulful beats. The music compels us into a dancing frenzy; the message leaves us inspired. We admire Franti for being an artist who takes the high road, whether it be wittily talking down corporate imperialism or opting out of his deal with a major record company when they tried to step on his values.
