In Sweden gas costs almost $4 a gallon. And in my college town of Uppsala you'll see grandmas bikin' across town for coffee at their friend's house. Bike lanes are everywhere and there are so many bikes in front of the train station it looks like Beijing. So who am to have a car? My Xtracycle-outfitted limegreen Kona Mini Mula carried me, 200 pounds of organic groceries and a lead frying pan over 6 miles of snow and ice, all the way from Ikea and the groceries Coop! It was dark at 5 p.m., sure, but I was all lit up like a tree about my Xtracycle and you can bet that the drivers were slowing down to check me out! It's unbelievable how rock-solid and stable the Xtracyle is, it is an All-Terrain Vehicle. You guys have engineered a miracle!

...the Xtracycle shines with it’s bags, which I think are some of the most well-designed pieces of carrying luggage ever invented.

I want to thank you for inventing the most beautiful contraption I have ever seen, next to a space shuttle...maybe.

Then there is the xtracycle. Sure, it is a frame and cables and some nylon bags, but you know what, there IS a new lifestyle in there! My husband bought it for my birthday this summer and I think it's the best gift I've ever received. I tote my two kids (2 & 4) to their preschool on my way into work with all our stuff, too. I never fear if there's extra stuff to bring along, our turn to bring a gallon of milk and muffins or whatever. I used to tow a Burley trailer, but it just wasn't as good (I was always unhooking it because it was a hassle and then not having it when I needed it) and I couldn't easily talk to my kids back there and they poked at each other sitting in such close quarters. Now we use our bike not only for our daily school/work trips, but also for neighborhood trips to the library, the pool, the store, whatever.

I have had my X for 7 years, its been 22 years since my very eyeopening year and a half with no car.... you guys must feel like it's been forever waiting for people to figure out that we all need to use bikes regularly to be happy healthy fulfilled people never mind saving the planet....i.e. its win/win to be "green" maybe it’s the oil companies sitting on everybody or some crazy conspiracy but I really feel like things are changing....finally......slowly...

Really love this bike. I've been using it as my daily driver for the last 2 years, loving every minute of it.

I just wanted to let you all know that when I am having a bad day, one thing that almost always cheers me up is when my friend gives me a ride around town on the back of his etracycle. Thanks for making me smile!!!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE my xtracycle! Just took my first camp-touring ride to San Diego from LA and I am hooked! I lived car-free before my free radical, but now my back thanks you as groceries (and whatever else) are so much easier to carry in the side bags than in my backpacking pack. :) Blessed be, thanks for such a great product!

Like most people I live a hectic life and who has the time for much exercise? Thanks to xtracycle now I do. By using my bike for daily activities I can get things done and get an hour plus work out in 15 to 30 minutes extra of my time, not a bad deal and beats taking the extra time going to the gym. In case you are still having trouble being motivated; the National Center of Disease Control says that inactivity is the #2 killer in the United States just behind smoking. ( http://www.cdc.gov/nccdphp/bb_nutrition/ ) Get out there and start living life! I can carry home a full shopping cart of groceries, car pool two kids or just get lost in the great outdoors camping for a week. Well I got go, another outing this weekend.

adventures are going great, and further confirming to me that absolute awesomeness of the xtracycle. just finished 130 km of often rough dirt road through the sián kaan nature preserve on the carribbean coast of the yucatan. slammed the bike around relentlessly and nary a loosened bolt...
