"Outfitted with a front studded tire, it made 5 out of 6 rides up the icy, steep alley that I have had to walk my normal bike up for months. We did not slip at all but with all the snow it felt like a sleigh. My son loved climbing up on to the back seat and getting to ride facing forward or backward with the hooptie."

Xtracycle continued it's sponsorship of the San Francisco Supermarket Street Sweep this year. The essence of the event is this: riders compete to haul food by bike from local SF stores to the San Francisco Food Bank. Different categories compete for most amount of food, or fastest ride. This year, more than 12,000 lbs of food was brought to the Food Bank by just over 130 riders - that means the average rider carried around 100 lbs of food. Have you ever carried 100 lbs of food by bike? We have.

"I love this SWEET bike. My first 2 months in DC were without the Xtracycle and it was such a pain to get my 4 yr old daughter to school. Now we pass cars and buses and cut our commute in half."
