Stop your old bike.
Remove the back wheel.
Attach the FreeRadical.
Reattach your wheel, chain and cables.
Installation
The FreeRadical Hitchless Trailer installation is straightforward, but should only be undertaken by a qualified bicycle mechanic. The process requires standard bicycle tools and takes a good mechanic about an hour, barring any special circumstances.
Once the FreeRadical is installed, it can be removed in about 10 minutes. Though some travelers disassemble their long bike in preparation for flying, we have found this to be unnecessary and instead just put the whole thing in one long box.
Many times we are asked by potential customers how hard it is to take off the FreeRadical for "regular" riding, and whether we make a quick-release kit to make it faster. But actual customers never seem to ask about a quick-release option, because they have first-hand experience with the true magic of the sport utility bicycle: it rides so much like a regular bike, and handles so confidently—even on tough off-road trails—that there really is no reason to remove the FreeRadical. For this reason, we think of the conversion as a permanent transformation.
