Awesome to see an xtracycle in Hawaii: it's the perfect place for them (aside from the need for lots of framesaver!) and I hope to see more around next time I visit (I spent a lot of time growing up on Maui Kauai and Oahu.)

Hi there, we're a family of three with another one due in a few days and we live in a predominantly agricultural town in the central valley of California. Since moving here seven months ago, we've done nearly all our errands/commuting via our Xtracycle with plans to build another one when our son can hold his head up!

As you can imagine a bicycle carrying a family of three, hauling our daughters crib or bringing home our xmas tree has a tendancy to turn a few cowboy hats. When people wonder why I don't drive my car and I tell them we are a car-lite family and I prefer the bicycle anyways, they smile or laugh and mutter something about being crazy.

Anyways, we love our bicycle oriented lifestyle and have you guys to thank for such a life changing product. We will keep on keepin' on and hope with each "crazy" load we carry around town someone smiles and wonders where they can get one of those and I'll be there with my cards to spread the good word.

Thanks again and we'll be checking in soon for our sons first two-wheeled ride!

Cheers,

Austen, Jenni, Bella and Max (as soon as he gets here anyways)

PS - I emailed pics of our xmas tree hauling to the info@xtracycle.com

Victory:

Two feet of snow has fallen the last few days where I live. No worries, my studded tires on my LHT/Xtracycle have been working fabulously.

Today, on my short ride home from lovely downtown Walla Walla, I stopped to help THREE motor vehicles get unstuck from the snow. A woman, who I had written off as a snobbish city lady, surprised me when from the forced heat of her stuck suburban she remarked,

"Looks like you've chosen the right mode of transportation."

Berkeley city council supports the creation of a downtown bike station (combination free bike parking, cafe, retail, etc.)
