With Xtracycle, you can carry one kid, two kids, young or old, in any combination. The standard Xtracycle Family kit is spec'd to carry one kid aged 9 months to around 5 years (19 - 48 lbs). Add a second PeaPod III to accomodate another kid within the same age range. Have one older kid and one younger kid? Simply add Footsies and a Stoker Bar and position the older kid in front. Pea Pod III
The PeaPod III seat, which we source from Dutch childseat maker GMG, is made of aluminum tubing with an EVA cushion (think Croc material) which is both light, strong, less resistant to heating up under the sun and comfortable and safe. What's more, the PeaPod III seat is quick release, and lockable - meaning you can accommodate child passengers when you want to, and remove the extra gear when you don't need it. Even better - you can swap it between bikes if needed.
